Fair Play Jam is committed to cultivate a respectful environment to everyone involved in the event.
We aim to foster an environment where participants feel that they can learn, share, grow and contribute in an event where they experience respect, dignity and safety.
As organisers, we are responsible for Fair Play Jam to be a space free of discrimination and abuse. Safety is also a collective effort, which requires being mindful of how one’s participation positively or negatively affects other participants. We recognise that discussions of oppression affect people differently and unequally.
We do not tolerate any form of discrimination and harassment at Fair Play Jam. This includes but is not limited to racism, colourism, xenophobia, sexism, transphobia, islamophobia, antisemitism and all form of religious discrimination, homophobia, classism, ableism, fatphobia, ageism, casteism, etc.
If discrimination, abuse and/or harassment take place at Fair Play Jam, we will assess the situation and act accordingly. For example, we can ask somebody to leave the event if they refuse to behave appropriately after having been warned or asked to.
If a situation feels uncomfortable, and/or if you witness harassment, abuse, or discrimination, please raise the issue with the event organisers or moderators through our anonymous form or by emailing fairplayjam@gmail.com
